You can’t get enough of playing casino games, can you? Well, instead of sitting down to the table and just guessing on how to win, you might want to head to WSOP to learn more about how to play and how to WIN. With online poker games, you can develop your game and you can win real money. Playing with others into the night will help you when you finally make it to the local Mississippi casino.
About
MGA
The
Mississippi Gaming Association exists to promote and defend the
interests of the Mississippi gaming tourism industry and its employees.
The gaming tourism industry includes casino properties, casino hotel
suppliers, and other businesses that cater to gaming tourists around
the state. Currently, MGA's membership includes 27 of the state's
30 casinos.
Even if poker isn't your game, you can also try your hand at the sportsbook with sports betting. The
gaming industry generates tremendous economic activity in Mississippi:
-
State and local governments in Mississippi receive over $320 million
annually from casino operations
- The
casino industry employs 40,000 people in Mississippi with a total
payroll of about $1 billion
- This
payroll adds additional $90+ million to Mississippi's tax revenue.
- Mississippi's
casinos purchase over $2 billion in goods and services each year
to support their operations. Purchases include food and beverage,
advertising, office supplies, computer equipment, vehicles, hotel
and restaurant supplies, and countless other types of items
- According
to the Mississippi Development Authority, the gaming industry
has been the driver behind the tripling of Mississippi's tourism
and recreation sales from 1992 to 2000.
MGA
supports its members by monitoring market and regulatory situations,
providing research and analysis on a variety of issues, and communicating
with key policymakers about issues effecting the industry.
